Shearings premieres new TV advert

Leger Shearings Group has launched a new TV ad to promote its Shearings brand.

The advert, which was first seen on ITV1, C4, C5 and Sky channels on 6 January, is the first for Shearings since it was acquired by the Group in 2021.

It features new branding which was announced in November.

Leger Shearings Group’s CEO Liam Race explains the aim of the campaign was to present the brand’s new “tone of voice”, while being careful not to “scare away” loyal Shearings customers.

He says: “The new commercial immediately captivates the audience, opening with what appears to be an ‘rocker’ strumming his guitar and talking about his touring days; the camera zooms out and we realise he’s about to board a Shearings’ coach for a tour.

“The ad follows Shearings’ new tone of voice and brings out the fact that ‘there’s no drama’ with escorted coach tours, so you can enjoy the places you visit. The Aa highlights one of our new hassle-free promises – no lugging your luggage – by saying ‘you even get a roadie to lug your luggage’, keeping with the fun rockstar on tour theme!”

The advert will run throughout January and February.

Shearings’ new website was launched on 19 December, with the brand’s change of tone involving “more casual, fun, playful language; copy that entertains, a change in photography style, simplified layouts, and the new ‘hassle-free holidays’ logo”, according to Leger Shearings.
