Freeway Fleet Systems has upgraded its workshop web booking portal to include real-time insight into fleet servicing and repairs from smartphones.
The company says the portal allows “anyone to simply go online to select a date and time slot for servicing and repairs”.
When the booking app is accessed through a smartphone app or web browser, software auto-generates an email or text message for booking confirmations, reminders and work completed notifications. Additional information such as full asset list and status, forthcoming scheduled events, completed inspection and associated invoices are now provided.
The portal can also allow quotes to be viewed and authorised online for rectifications to defects found during scheduled inspections that are not covered under contract.
“Freeway’s booking portal is a real-time paperless facility that eliminates phone calls and lots of time wasted checking workshop schedules and going back and forth with available slots,” says Managing Director of Freeway Fleet Systems Patrick Tandy. “Vehicles can be simply booked in with a few clicks and the whole process is automated thereafter. Recent enhancements make it a more complete management tool with a range of useful information that is easy to view anywhere, 24/7 through any web-connected device, including a smartphone.”
Notifications can be customised with different recipients set up for dealer service desks, the asset owners, drivers and others. Invoices raised by the workshop can be viewed through the portal and variable charges for different cost centres, partners and customers can be applied.
