Thank you for printing my letter [routeone/Opinion/22 August]. I can now get in touch with an old friend of mine, Derek Webb.
I have spent almost 50 years either driving coaches in the UK, Ireland, Europe, America and Australia or as a driver-guide, and even as a Tour Manager for Insight International Tours with the amazing Tollman family – many are still good friends today.
Having retired aged 70 – I’m now almost 74 – I can very happily say that I loved every minute of my working life and would do it all again.
Still today, my wife and I travel the world, hire cars and explore so many different countries around the world.
All thanks to being behind or close to the wheel of a bus.
