A low unladen weight is one of the key attractions of the 16-passenger Peugeot Boxer conversion that was displayed on GM Coachwork’s stand at CBUK.
It has a side door with an integrated fold-out step, and wheelchair user access is via an Unwin BraunAbility lift.
Two wheelchair users can be accommodated with ease, and three can also be conveyed; four is the absolute maximum, but to do so requires an outboard lift.
GM Coachwork purchases the Boxer base vehicles as vans with windows already installed and it then converts them at its Devon facility. It completes around 60 accessible Boxers per year.
