The Go-Ahead Group has chosen Autoglym Connect as its official supplier of bus cleaning products.

The partnership means the business’s dedicated PSV products will be used at more than 120 coach and bus depots across 26 Go-Ahead operating companies in UK and Ireland.

Autoglym’s Connect Diamond Shine, Express Wash and Super Clean Sanitiser products will be used on every one of Go-Ahead’s 6,000-plus buses.

Autoglym will also provide a standardised cleaning regime and training for the cleaning teams.

Chemical dosing equipment has been installed to cut costs and advice on reducing manual handling has also been given.

It also means the Go-Ahead fleet will receive a deep clean every three months, as well as daily and monthly cleans.

Adam Bourne, Asset Presentation Manager at Go-Ahead London, says: “Since working with Autoglym Connect, our vehicle presentation standards have improved immensely.

“While Autoglym’s products are renowned for their cleaning and protection abilities, we’ve also received outstanding support, beyond a simple chemical supply agreement. Autoglym really is a great partner to work with.”

Autoglym, which was established in 1965, has more than 30 years’ involvement in the PSV industry. Its manufacturing facilities are based in Letchworth Garden City.

Paul Rowlands, Head of Trade at Autoglym, adds: “Go-Ahead is a forward-thinking operator that has built an extremely strong reputation for delivering quality essential bus services across the UK, Ireland and further afield.

“With such an extensive fleet of vehicles that are seen and used by many thousands of people every day, our products and service partnership will help to ensure Go-Ahead vehicles always look at their best, helping to reinforce ‘The Go-Ahead Way’ and ensuring that Go-Ahead continues to be seen as an innovative operator that consumers can trust.”
