Harris Bus and Coach UK has signed a 10-year strategic cooperation agreement with Higer Bus that will see the manufacturer’s new V Series coaches enter the UK market from 2026 as planned.

That stage was reached at Busworld Brussels in early October, where senior members of the Harris team joined Higer European Sales Director Tom Tang and General Manager, Overseas Sales, Gary Jiang for a signing ceremony.

A number of the Higer V Series coaches were present at Busworld alongside an example of the Azure battery-electric bus. Formalising the agreement builds on existing work by Harris with Higer products in the Irish market and sees Harris Bus and Coach UK become exclusive distributor for Higer here.

Harris says that the V Series coaches will have “dedicated UK specifications.” Harris Truck and Bus UK Managing Director Bill Laidlaw call bringing them here “a major milestone” and says they will be sold and supported via Harris’s nationwide dealer network and aftersales infrastructure.

Adds Mr Laidlaw: “We are proud to extend our partnership with Higer into the UK through this 10-year strategic agreement. Over many years, we have built a strong working relationship that has delivered proven, high-quality vehicles and aftersales support to operators across Ireland.”

Signing of the cooperation agreement paves the way for the new Higer V Series range to come to the UK in 2026

Harris Bus and Coach UK was launched earlier in 2025. It is headquartered in Liverpool with a 10-dealer network. Sales, service and parts support for diesel and electric vehicles will be backed by factory-trained technicians and 24/7 roadside assistance via the Harris Non-Stop mobile service.

Harris says that the forthcoming introduction of the Higer V Series to the UK builds on the Dublin-based supplier’s phased strategy to establish a market presence here.

Mr Tang describes the UK as a strategic market for Higer and notes how formal agreement with Harris marks “an important new stage in our partnership” following success in Ireland.

“We are now expanding that strength into the UK with innovate products and customer-focused support,” he continues. “The new V Series represents our next generation of coaches – efficient, reliable, and designed for modern operator needs.

“We look forward to supporting Harris Bus and Coach UK as we continue to promote sustainable, high-quality public transport solutions.”
