PC Coaches of Lincoln has increased bus provision between Louth and Mablethorpe with the introduction of new service 50A. It takes to two the number of routes between the towns and is funded by the Lincolnshire Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) allocation.

The operator first took on service 50 between Lincoln, Louth and Mablethorpe in June 2023 on a commercial basis. Managing Director Stephen Bryce says that decision was made following concern about the potential loss of direct connections.

He adds that over the almost 12 months since then, patronage has grown, and investment has been made in better buses for the route.

“We are really excited to be working with our partners Lincolnshire County Council to introduce the next stage in the development of this important corridor, which sees new 50A journeys from Monday to Saturday giving more communities such as Saltfleetby All Saints, Manby, and Theddlethorpe St Helen a direct and regular bus service,” continues Mr Bryce.

“We are also providing extra Saturday journeys, giving customers a later bus back from Mablethorpe to Louth and Lincoln. Add all that to the £2 capped adult single fare and there has never been a better time to choose the bus.”
