An online petition has been created to stop the sale of land for development on Holy Island, Lindisfarne, which is currently used for coach parking.
The petition calls on Northumberland County Council to withdraw from sale the site at Green Lane car park.
The petition’s creator Lesley Andrews says: “This sale should be withdrawn and a full assessment should be made of its potential impact on the environment; how parking can be maintained for coaches and Blue Badge holders; tourism in Northumberland; and the local economy.”
