Temporary short-term coach parking will return to the New Covent Garden Market in Nine Elms, London, from 1 December. It is for a period that the Market describes as “a few months.”
A maximum of 30 coaches can be accommodated. Parking will be available between 0600-1800hrs Monday to Saturday at an inclusive price of £35.
It will be allocated on a first come, first served basis and cannot be reserved in advance.
Says Confederation of Passenger Transport Coaching Manager Andy Warrender: “The reductions in coach parking in central London in recent years have placed a huge strain on the industry.
“The availability of parking in Nine Elms, although temporary, is encouraging news. It will hopefully lead to more coach tours returning to the capital.”
