Drivers in the Unite union at Go-Ahead owned Oxford Bus Company have agreed a settlement in their dispute over Christmas working pay. It follows 24-hour strikes on 2 and 6 March.

A pay deal for the year, starting on 1 November 2016, and a lump sum to settle 2016 Christmas working issues was agreed after ACAS talks. Details of the package are not being disclosed.

Unite has nearly 450 members at the company, including drivers, maintenance staff and admin workers.

Bus drivers suspended planned strikes on 17 and 24 March after “positive talks” with Go-Ahead owned Oxford Bus Company in a dispute over Christmas pay.

The issue revolved around extra pay that Unite wanted on top of existing agreements.
