Stagecoach Manchester has appointed Rebecca Rathore to the role of Operations Director. She takes over from Matthew Kitchin, who has taken up the role of Managing Director at Stagecoach Yorkshire.
Rebecca will take responsibility for the Greater Manchester operations of Stagecoach, which covers some 1,800 drivers, 700 buses and 23.9 million service miles per annum.
She brings much experience from the transport sector to the role. She previously served as Head of Ground Transport and Landside Support at Manchester Airport for four years, and has held roles at Transport for Greater Manchester, Southern Railway, The Go-Ahead Group and National Express.
“I’m incredibly excited to join the Greater Manchester team and begin working with it at such a pivotal time of change for the transport sector,” says Rebecca. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to apply the knowledge I’ve learnt over the years to a new area and I can’t wait to get started.”
Adds Lee Wasnidge, Managing Director at Stagecoach Manchester: “I’m very pleased to be welcoming Rebecca to the Stagecoach Manchester team. I’m sure her years of experience will be a great asset to us and I look forward to working closely with her to deliver efficient and high quality bus services to our communities.”
