Lothian has achieved its busiest ever year at the Royal Highland Show with an increase of almost 12% in recorded customer journeys.
The company put on a range of special services to help visitors heading out to the flagship outdoor event at Ingliston.
Additional measures for this year included dedicated customer advisers who were out on street to help with travel queries, free travel for children and holders of its Ridacard season ticket on board Special Services 97 and 98, plus exclusive show discounts for customers with a valid ticket.
Says Nigel Serafini, Commercial Director at Lothian: “We’re increasingly putting on special services and arrangements to help people enjoy the huge range of outstanding events in and around Edinburgh.
“This more sophisticated approach, which has seen our customer support team on hand to give travel advice to customers together with partnership promotions, is a priority for us in contributing to the leisure economy of the capital.
“We are delighted that a record number of people chose to travel with us this year.”
