The Vale of Rheidol Railway has won the 'Outstanding Customer Service' award at the Aber First Awards 2017, which took place on 23 June in Aberyswtyth.

Opened in 1902, The Vale of Rheidol Railway has been carrying tourists for over 100 years

The award was sponsored by the Cambrian News and was collected at a ceremony organised by Menter Aberystwyth in the Old College.

LlÅ·r Ap Iolo, Railway Manager, says: "We are very pleased to have won this award – we take customer service very seriously.

“As one of the major tourist attractions in Mid Wales, it is important for us to have an excellent customer service reputation as recommendation and word of mouth is still a valuable method of marketing.”
