First has put Scania’s ADL Enviro400 diesel demonstrator into service on its demanding X1 Peterborough-Norwich service.
It is part of an evaluation of several types ready for the replacement of the existing hi-spec ADL E400s used on the route, one of the longest in the UK.
The high-mileage route sees the 15 vehicles covering at least 80,000 miles a year each. The highest mileage bus on the routes has covered 362,126 miles since new just over three years ago.
