Scottish Government Transport Minister Humza Yousaf has announced a new round of the Scottish Green Bus Fund, with £3m available.

Bus operators, local authorities and Regional Transport Partnerships across Scotland can apply for funding towards the purchase of low carbon emission buses (LCEBs).

The Scottish Green Bus Fund, now in its seventh year, follows £14.8m grants in the previous six rounds, supporting 300 LCEBs.

Operators of LCEBs are also eligible for an enhanced rate of the Bus Service Operators Grant.

Grants will be offered to successful bidders for up to 80% of the price differential between a LCEB and its diesel equivalent.

No more than £1.5m will be offered to any one bidder, including groups.

The deadline for applications is 30 June.
