Specialist Leisure Group (SLG), the parent company of Shearings Holidays, has placed an order for 29 new Mercedes-Benz Tourismo M/2 coaches, as part of its ongoing vehicle renewal programme.
The vehicles are due for delivery in October and November 2019, 19 coaches will join the Shearings Holidays fleet and 10 will join the National Holidays fleet.
Richard Calvert, CEO of SLG, says: “This [multi-million-pound order] underlines our commitment to quality, modernisation and safety and we look forward to the new coaches being delivered later in the autumn.”
The coaches will offer the latest technology, fuel efficiency and comfort.
They will feature USB charge points and free wi-fi, lateral movement seats, plus additional impact protection technology, integrated satellite navigation systems and all terrain auto-cruise control, which effectively allows the vehicle to provide the safest, smoothest and consistent journey by ‘sensing’ road conditions, gradients as well as the presence of other road users.
