A small fleet of eight brand new Optare Slimline Solos has been ordered by First for its Bath operation, to replace all but one of the existing vehicles.
They are expected to arrive in the summer. The existing vehicles, will go elsewhere in First for further service.
It is the first order of note for Solos by the groups, which in recent years have been buying larger vehicles. The Slimline model is narrower than a ‘standard’ bus, enabling it to serve narrow streets.
