Southgate and Finchley has taken delivery of its first PSVAR-compliant coach, a Plaxton Leopard built on a Volvo B8R chassis, manufacturer Alexander Dennis has announced.
The North London-based operator, which last year celebrated its 60th anniversary, has thus added to a predominantly Volvo fleet with its second example of this particular model.
As well as wheelchair lift and destination displays, the Euro VI vehicle comes with 72 seats in a 3+2 arrangement, USB chargers, wood-effect flooring and a CCTV system.
Peter Rice, Co-owner and Managing Director for Southgate and Finchley Coaches, says: “This new Plaxton Leopard is versatile coach suitable for high-capacity work. With its efficient underpinnings and Euro VI engine it fits well into our fleet, which predominantly consists of Volvo coaches.”
Mark Taylor, Regional Sales Manager for Alexander Dennis, adds: “It’s an honour to provide another first for Southgate and Finchley Coaches with this new Plaxton Leopard, their first PSVAR-compliant vehicle. We’ve been working with Peter, Elaine and their team since they bought their first ever new coach from us in 2015 and we look forward to continuing to support them.”
