Stagecoach East Midlands has announced it will put 28 new Alexander Dennis (ADL) Enviro 400MMCs onto the road this week in Hull and Mansfield as part of a £7 million investment. Twenty of the Euro VI double-deckers will be used in Hull and eight put into operation in Mansfield.
Featuring the latest start-stop technology, the buses have CCTV, audio-visual next stop announcements, and USB charging points.
It adds to the 31 Enviro 400s and 200s taken by Stagecoach for the Hull operation in 2019.
Matt Cranwell, Managing Director at Stagecoach East Midlands, says of the additions to the fleet in Hull: “This is a huge milestone for greener travel in the region, and our new fleet of 20 high-spec buses will significantly help to reduce harmful emissions and improve air quality in Hull with their state-of-the-art Euro VI engines.
“We are dedicated to making a positive impact on our local community and we hope this investment highlights the positive progress we are making in greener travel regionally. We look forward to seeing the new vehicles hit the roads in Hull!”
