Coach and bus will be represented at the Great Transport Debate at Manchester Airport on 28 September, which will include more than 20 speakers and panellists from various industries. CMAC Group, CheckedSafe and the Transport Benevolent Fund are among the sponsors.
Two hundred tickets are available for an event whose speakers and panellists include Confederation of Passenger Transport Chief Executive Graham Vidler, Transport for West Midlands Executive Director Anne Shaw, Go-Ahead Group Chief Executive Christian Schreyer, Transport Focus Chair Nigel Stevens, Go-Ahead Bus Managing Director of Bus Development Martin Dean and CMAC Group Founder Steve Turner.
Mr Schreyer will front a segment entitled “Leading the way at Go-Ahead”.
The event at the Concorde Hangar will run from 1000-1700hrs with a networking reception to follow. Industry leaders will debate the key topics, while organisers are keen to point out Powerpoint will be nowhere to be seen.
Among the topics to be debated are “what is transport for?”, “what is preventing transport from being easier to access?” and “what is preventing transport from being joined up?”
Audience members will be able to interact via questions and live voting.
