Totalkare has supplied a Y-MECH Lift to Crouch Recovery, which specialises in the recovery of coaches and buses among other areas. It has been installed at Crouch’s Leicestershire workshop.
The new lift has been purchased after Crouch identified the need for a permanent vehicle lifting facility in addition to its existing Totalkare mobile columns. The Y-MECH needed to have a heavy lifting capacity and sufficient bed length to accommodate all the vehicles in Crouch Recovery’s fleet. It thus has a 35,000kg capacity and 13-metre platforms, complete with extra long approach ramps and a jacking beam.
The Y-MECH Lift has rollover and rollback protection and mechanical safety latches to provide maximum safety when a vehicle is raised. It can be fully galvanised to provide an ideal outdoor wash bay solution if required. Platform length can vary from six to 13m, with a safe working load capacity of between 25,000 and 35,000kg.
Says Crouch Recovery Director Adam Crouch: “We have been very pleased with the flexibility offered by our cable-free mobile lift columns from Totalkare, but we felt that we needed to complement them with a permanent vehicle lifting bay solution to optimise efficiencies in the workshop.
“The new Totalkare Y-MECH Lift if ideal for this. It can lift our full fleet of vehicles thanks to the long platform length and load capacity, and we are already seeing the benefits of this installation.”
Adds Totalkare Sales Director Adam Bowser: “It is a pleasure to continue supporting Crouch Recovery as the business goes from strength to strength. Alongside our T8DC cable-free mobile column lifts, the Y-MECH Lift gives Adam and the team the best of both worlds in terms of vehicle lifting capability and with our comprehensive service package they also get full peace of mind.”
