Kura, the school and commercial sector transport specialist, has promoted David Biszby from Head of Customers to the role of Operations Director. He takes over from outgoing Operations Director and PSVAR expert Chris Coles on 9 July.
The appointment comes as Kura looks to expand across new sectors. After launching its home-to-school technology in 2019, the company is now looking to “revolutionise” corporate transport in 2021 as employees return to the office.
David has a proven track record of working in both the corporate and education sectors and in his time working with Kura’s key customers he has achieved an exceptional understanding of their needs and plans and how they gel with the company’s values and plans for growth.
“It is an honour and a privilege for me to be appointed as Operations Director at Kura; it is a pivotal role and one that is at the heart of the business,” David says. “I hope to build on the solid foundations Chris has built over the years, and bring new opportunities for growth and success for Kura in the years to come.”
Adds Godfrey Ryan, CEO of Kura: “Customer experience is at the core of our business model and David’s depth of knowledge will be a key foundation for excellence in the Operations Director role.
“David’s passion for service quality and dedication to building strong relationships with Kura’s customers and partners are key strengths. We have no doubt that he will bring new innovative thinking to the role and help us continue delivering on both our customer promise and commercial objectives in the coming months and years.”
In the meantime, former Operations Director Chris will persue a more international role. He has been working with David to ensure a seamless handover.
“We are sad to see Chris depart and we wish him well in his new venture,” adds Godfrey.
