Treka Bus has taken its new CitySprint 7 minibus conversion onto the streets of York as it approaches first customer deliveries.
It marks the official debut for the 7.4m, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter-based low-entry vehicle following its unveiling last year.
The 22-passenger model generated interest when announced in September 2025 and has now completed final road testing in real-world operating conditions. Customer deliveries are expected to begin shortly.
According to Treka, the CitySprint 7 has been designed with urban operations in mind, and early trials in York city centre have demonstrated strong manoeuvrability and performance.
Chris Wood, Head of Operations at Treka Bus, says the vehicle has met expectations during testing. “We’re thrilled with the bus’s performance in a real-world setting, the CitySprint 7 zipped around the busy city centre and side roads with ease. We’re looking forward to delivering the first units, and welcoming prospective buyers to the factory in Brighouse to see it for themselves.”
The CItySprint 7 is built to individual customer specification, and Treka highlights its flexibility across a range of applications. It has previously said that will include PSVAR compliance, CCTV and audio-visual systems, styling upgrades such as colour-coded bumpers, skirts and grilles, and tinted glazing.
A demonstrator vehicle is planned, which the manufacturer says will showcase the adaptability of the platform.
