Westminster City Council has taken its anti-idling campaign a further step forward with the launch of #Dontbeidle.

The council passes on its thanks to drivers who have already signed the pledge and are making a noticeable difference.

Says Andy Warrender, Coaching Manager at the Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT): “Idling is still the biggest single obstacle CPT faces in developing new and improved facilities for coaches.

“We have repeatedly been faced with a barrage of opposition when proposals are put forward, particularly where these are in residential areas, which are often the most suitable.”
