Alexcars has ceased trading. In a statement, the company has described the cessation of its business as an “extremely difficult decision”.
The Cirencester coach operator cites the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic and “a total loss of revenue at what should be the busiest time of the year” as one of a number of factors that have led to the cessation. Closure of the business brings to an end 74 years of trading.
“Alexcars has been proud to serve the people of Cirencester and surrounding areas since 1946. We are extremely grateful to our customers and fantastic staff for their loyalty over those years,” the company adds.
Before it ceased trading, Alexcars was well-known for its highly distinctive two-tone blue livery and a fleet of modern coaches. Administration is being handled by Hazelwoods.
