Eco Travel of Stalybridge has taken delivery of a Volkswagen Transporter T6 with coachbuilt, fully low floor Tucana bodywork, supplied by Mellor (01706 860610).

It is used on service 356, known as the Saddleworth Rambler connecting five villages in the area. The Tucana’s inclusive, accessible nature made it particularly suitable to that application, says Eco Travel’s Jason Deakin.

“We chose the Tucana as it has gained considerable popularity for being an economical, robust vehicle that offers a best in class passenger environment.

“I am confident that the minibus will contribute to improving access to evening leisure opportunities in Manchester and Saddleworth, and for the region’s commuters.”

The Saddleworth Rambler is a new Monday to Saturday daytime and evening service.
