Fernhill Travel takes a Volvo B8R Plaxton Panther

Fernhill Travel of Bracknell has further upgraded its fleet via the delivery of a Volvo B8R with Panther bodywork. It has been supplied by Plaxton (01909 551166).

The versatile 12.8m, 61-seater joins a fleet that is more than 50% compliant with London’s ULEZ. It has a variety of passenger amenities, including USB charging sockets and three-point belts.

Says MD Simon Rowland: “I’m particularly pleased that the Panther carried the name of Frank Holgate. He was the founding father of the business in 1979, and hence we are celebrating our 40th anniversary this year.

“He was delighted with the gesture, as are his sons Martin and Richard. They both remain actively involved with Fernhill Travel as Directors of the company.”
