The Travellers Choice adds eight Volvo Jonckheeres

Eight Volvo B11Rs with Jonckheere JHV2 bodywork have joined the fleet of Carnforth operator The Travellers Choice. They take its overall strength to 140 coaches.

The order has been split across three seating capacities. Four of the new additions carry 53 passengers, two accommodate 57 and a further two are 65-seaters. That flexibility gives the operator an ability to cater for a wide range of contracts and hires, says The Travellers Choice MD John Shaw.

“As we operate our own UK and European tours, a comfortable and premium experience for passengers is of the utmost importance. The Jonckheere bodywork complements the B11R chassis. It provides a smooth and pleasant ride.”

Around 90% of The Travellers Choice’s fleet is Volvo-based and it has worked with the supplier for several years.

The new coaches complement recent investment made by the Lancashire operator in its premises as part of operational expansion.
