Completion of the dedicated Yutong facility is expected in mid-November

Work has commenced on a new showroom and preparation centre for Yutong coaches at Pelican Bus and Coach’s site in Castleford. Completion is expected in November.

“The new facility will further deepen the ties between Yutong and Pelican and it is a sign of both parties’ commitment to our customers,” says Kitty Hu, Yutong Sales Manager for Europe and North America.

“Everyone at Yutong is delighted with progress in the UK and Ireland.”

The number of Yutong coaches on UK roads passed 250 at the end of May. “Many customers are returning for the fourth or fifth time,” says Pelican Sales Manager Bob Elliott.

“We have recently introduced a bus and the potential for us in the electric bus market is very promising, with excellent results generated by the first vehicle.”
