Shared mobility provider Zeelo has launched a critical worker service to help NHS staff and other key workers battle the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic.
The company will transport the healthcare, food, utility and critical logistics industry workers using a pool of operators from its network.
All vehicles will be fully sanitised before and after each journey, while drivers will wear protective uniforms to reduce the risk of infection. The number of passengers will be capped, hand sanitiser will be provided on all services and there will be a no-contact policy onboard.
CEO Sam Ryan says the safe movement of critical staff has never been so important and that it was vital for Zeelo to step in and help.
“We are here to help and support where we can, to oversee the operations of the services to these key industries so their professionals can focus on the most important job at hand during this challenging time.”
