Three Arriva North West employees have been honoured for 50 years’ service with the company by the Metro Mayor of Liverpool.

Earlier this year, Dennis Holding, 69, Stuart Poole, 71, and Ken Cherry, 69, were each presented with a Long Service Award in a ceremony held at Aintree Racecourse in May.

In further celebration of their achievements, Dennis, Stuart and Ken were then invited to the Mayor’s office in Mann Island. The trio each received a certificate, signed by the Mayor and Arriva Regional MD Phil Stone.

Dave Roberts, who works in the bodyshop department also celebrated 50 years’ service, but was unable to attend the event.

Phil Stone, MD of Arriva North West, says: “Our annual Long Service Awards is one of the most prestigious awards to be given to drivers, and we were delighted to be able to award them for their 50 years of loyalty and service to the company.
