Birmingham-based Bouden Coach Travel is linking up with the local SIFA Fireside charity to help tackle homelessness in the area.
The coach hire company says it will be taking a hands-on approach to raising awareness, fundraising, volunteering and generally promoting the charity, which aims to reduce homelessness in Birmingham, increase life skills and improve health and employment potential.
The Birmingham charity provided almost 33,000 meals, assessed more than 2,600 individuals and raised more than £242,000 from fundraising activities in 2017 alone for its work helping people who are vulnerably housed or homeless in Birmingham.
Hannah Moore, PR, Sales and Marketing Assistant at Bouden Coach Travel, says: “It was lovely meeting staff and hearing some hard-hitting stories from volunteers at SIFA Fireside. Homelessness is a major crisis within the UK and something we feel passionate about here at Bouden Coach Travel.”
Bouden Coach Travel’s social media will be providing updates on the work the operator will doing to support the SIFA Fireside charity and help it fulfil its mission statement of improving health and inclusion for homeless people within Birmingham.
