Alex Chutter (pictured) has been named as incoming Operations Director of Go-Ahead Group subsidiaries Brighton and Hove, and Metrobus. He joins in November and takes up the role on 22 December to succeed Kevin Carey, who will retire.
Mr Chutter will move from Go South Coast (GSC), where he is presently General Manager of Swindon’s Bus Company, Salisbury Reds and the operator’s coaching division. He brings over 11 years’ industry experience, all gained with Go-Ahead after joining GSC as a graduate in 2011.
Speaking about his appointment, Mr Chutter says: “I am really looking forward to joining the team at Brighton and Hove and Metrobus. The company has always been held in high regard across the Go-Ahead Group and the bus industry as a whole, not only in terms of growth, innovation and customer satisfaction, but also in terms of the value it adds to the local community.
“To be part of a leadership team that drives the company’s future success represents a very exciting opportunity for me, where I can bring in new ideas and continue to build on the success achieved to date.”
Adds Brighton and Hove and Metrobus Managing Director Ed Wills: “Alex brings a wealth of expertise in delivering outstanding bus services for passengers. I would like to congratulate him on his appointment, and I know that he is very much looking forward to developing and delivering our ongoing business strategy for operations.
“With over 11 years’ experience, he has a comprehensive understanding of the industry and comes with a track record of operational success in building and managing bus businesses.”
