Joe Mackie, Chairman of The UK Bus Driver of the Year Association and a Founder Director of First Group, has been presented with an OBE.
After being announced in the 2019 Queen’s Birthday Honours List, Joe received the honour at Buckingham Palace which was presented to by Prince William, Duke of Cambridge.
The OBE was awarded for recognition of his charity work with the Archie Foundation.
Joe says: “When I got the letter through the post and read it I really did feel proud of all we have done and that it’s being recognised.”
