Gordon Frost has been named Operations Director by Go-Ahead Group subsidiary Brighton and Hove and Metrobus.
Mr Frost will take up the position from 1 December and succeed incumbent Alex Chutter, who is to move to sister Go-Ahead business Oxford Bus Company. He joins from Stagecoach South, where he was formerly Operations Director and recently its interim Managing Director.
In his role with Stagecoach, Mr Frost was responsible for eight depots in Hampshire, Surrey and West Sussex. He joined the bus industry in 1988 as a graduate trainee and lists both commercial and operational experience on his CV.
Brighton and Hove and Metrobus Managing Director Ed Wills has welcomed Mr Frost to Go-Ahead, noting that he “brings a wealth of industry experience in delivering outstanding bus services to passengers.
“I would like to congratulate Gordon on his appointment. I know that he is very much looking forward to developing and delivering our ongoing business strategy for operations,” adds Mr Wills.
Adds Mr Frost: “I am really excited to be joining both Go-Ahead and more specifically, Brighton and Hove and Metrobus. It has a great reputation for innovation, as shown by [Metrobus’s] hydrogen buses, and is highly respected within the industry.
“I am looking forward to working with the local team and leading operations; bringing new ideas through my comprehensive understanding of the industry and successful track record spanning 33 years.”
