Irizar UK has appointed Sam Williams (pictured) as UK Parts Manager as it prepares to launch a new in-house parts supply operation later this year.
Sam brings industry experience to the role and is currently working behind the scenes to establish the framework for the operation ahead of launch.
The move forms part of a strategy to strengthen aftermarket support, with the new parts business due to go live this summer from the business’ new Blyth headquarters in Nottinghamshire. It will sit alongside the manufacturer’s growing pre-delivery inspection and service capabilities as part of a more integrated support model, and is intended to enhance Irizar UK’s ability to support customers throughout the whole vehicle lifecycle, helping with total cost of ownership .
“I’m delighted to be joining Irizar UK as UK Parts Manager at such an exciting time for the business,” Sam says. “With this being a brand-new parts operation, it presents a fantastic opportunity to build something from the ground up.
“My aim is to enhance customer service, deliver real value to our customers, and help establish Irizar UK as a competitive and trusted parts provider within the coach and bus industry.”
Managing Director Andrew Blundell says the appointment is a key step in the company’s development. “We are delighted to welcome Sam to the Irizar UK team at such an important time,” he says. “His experience and knowledge will be instrumental as we build our parts operation.
“This investment reflects our commitment to strengthening our support offering and building even closer relationships with our customers. By enhancing our in-house capabilities, we are continuing to develop Irizar UK as a trusted partner — one that not only delivers high-quality, European-manufactured vehicles, but also supports customers in achieving optimal whole-life cost through a dedicated and passionate team of professionals.”
Further details of the parts supply business are expected ahead of its official launch.
