First Bus has named Jane Reakes-Davies as the Managing Director (MD) for First Cymru.
She will take up the role permanently from 1 August. Jane was most recently Head of Human Resources for First Bus in the South of England, Wales and Ireland before filling the role of MD on an interim basis.
Dave Alexander, First Bus Divisional Director, says Jane’s ‘focused determination and leadership style’ have proved effective among the First Cymru team. “I am confident that together they will continue to meet the challenges faced as they remobilise our business in Wales in the months ahead,” he says.
Jane adds that she aims to ‘lead First Cymru into the future’. “The past few months have been incredibly challenging for the bus industry, however I have been impressed with the resilience of the whole First Cymru team and their desire to continue to support our customers and our communities,” she says.
