Equipmake has named Jinsong Dai as Vice-President of Sales and Business Development. He joins from sensor and control solutions specialist Sensata Technologies, where he delivered successful programmes across business development, marketing, and product management over a seven-year tenure.
Mr Dai will work in the United States and oversee Equipmake’s global commercial initiatives. His arrival “represents a strategic move for the business and reinforces Equipmake’s global growth, with a focus on priority markets for electrification,” the firm says in a statement.
Prior to joining Sensata, Mr Dai held business development and engineering management roles with the China Railway Construction Corporation, which is a globally prominent company in railway design and engineering.
Speaking about the appointment of Mr Dai, Equipmake CEO Ian Foley says: “I am thrilled to announce that Jinsong has joined Equipmake as Vice-President of Sales and Business Development.
“He is an outstanding and highly motivated professional in the electrification industry, bringing extensive hands-on experience in scaling up numerous electrification product lines to mass production levels through global market expansion and strategic channel growth.
“His experience and worldwide connections will be invaluable in supporting Equipmake’s growth strategy, especially in key markets like the United States.”
Adds Mr Dai: “Over the last decade, Equipmake has built a stellar reputation as a leading developer and manufacturer of e-powertrain products and solutions for all types of electric vehicles.
“I am delighted to join Equipmake at this exciting time and I look forward to bringing our unique solutions and system integration expertise to global markets, driving the transition to an electrified world.”
Mr Dai’s decision to join Equipmake quickly follows the arrival of automotive heavyweight Glenn Saint, who was named Business Development Director by the Snetterton-based company during April.
