Roger Woollon, 75, of Woollons of Heathrow and AWC has died.

He started Woollons in 1974 as a car hire business and slowly morphed into coach operating in the early ‘80s. He renamed the business AWC to get to the front of the phone book and at its peak, operated around 25 vehicles.

After the business closed in 1998, and a spell with Shearing's Holidays, he left the industry. He leaves his former wife Marilyn and sons David and Andrew who operate Jeakins Coach Travel and Lianne Coaches.

The funeral is at 1200hrs on Monday 30 July at Church of St Michael and All Angels, Forden, Powys.
