Wrightsure were celebrating on Sunday 23 September, after winning the 2018 Milltek Sport VW Racing Cup Championship.
The insurance broker sponsored the new champion driver, Jamie Bond, for half of 2017’s season and has funded the whole of the 2018 season.
Speaking exclusively to routeone, Wrightsure Associate Director, Darren Curd explains how the sponsorship was an opportunity to engage with existing and prospective clients and suppliers to the industry by inviting them to watch and enjoy the motorsport and hospitality courtesy of VW and the TeamHARD squad.
He says: “There were 16 races, and having various offices around the country, we enjoyed a lot of success with visitors to the races, entertaining some 200 people over the year.
“It works because the coach and bus industry has diesel running through its veins and a synergy with fans of motorsport.”
Visitors to Euro Bus Expo at NEC, Birmingham on 30 October-1 November can see the winning car on Wrightsure’s stand B54.
