An imperfect welcome to historic town of Windsor

We enjoy bringing many of our coach tours to Windsor and have done for many years.

There of course is even more interest now, following the excellent royal wedding.

Thousands of visitors arrive by coach, as we do with very good parking arrangements and great access up into the station and into the centre.

How embarrassing, therefore, is it to see the state of the access stairway – probably the very first impression of Windsor for many UK and international visitors.

It is filthy, unkept and a total disgrace. Surely this stairway should be clean, re-painted and represent a perfect welcome to such a historic town?

The above photograph is an example taken from Sunday 27 May when we had two full coaches on a weekend tour – what a letdown.

I have written to the Royal Borough of Windsor in the hope that this issue can addressed, and that once again we can be proud to be British – not ashamed.
