I note the point made in relation to the use of renewable electricity for charging electric buses. How is this possible?
On the assumption that the re-charging system is connected to the National Grid, and not supplied from some sort of private network (is there such a thing?), then that electricity is generated from multiple sources – including fossil fuel-fired and nuclear power stations, as well as renewable.
The insistent use of terms such as ‘renewable’ paints a misleading picture of reality in the present energy supply situation.
