Still no roller brake testing requirement at every vehicle inspection?

It was interesting to read the new DVSA Guide To Maintaining Roadworthiness.

We all thought the long-awaited update would require operators to have roller brake tests at every safety inspection and so we were surprised to read this is not the case.

Maybe the industry moaned about the costs? Maybe it didn’t?

At Beverley Bell Consulting we still advise our clients and all operators to have roller brake tests at every inspection so that you can be assured that your vehicles, drivers and passengers are safe.

It is what the Traffic Commissioners continue to expect, so you know it makes sense.
