A new law on the posting of workers came into force in France on 5 September that clarifies the existing position in passenger transport, i.e. that when a worker is posted in France without a contract with a client in France, no pre-declaration and no representative in France are required, reports The Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT).
Steven Salmon, CPT Director of Policy Development, says: “We have always maintained that the EU rules on posting workers should be interpreted in this way and we will now be watching to make sure that French enforcers apply the law properly on the ground.”
