21st Century showed UK Bus Summit attendees the benefits of its SmartVision camera monitoring system, which is a replacement for wing mirrors.
SmartVision “is a huge step forward for safety,” says 21st Century.
It is a part of TfL’s Vision Zero programme. That aims eliminate deaths and serious injuries on London’s roads by 2041.
SmartVision offers an enhanced view over traditional mirrors. Because the cameras are smaller, drag is reduced, fuel efficiency is increased and the vehicle’s lifetime running costs are cut. Also reduced is the risk of damage.
