An ambitious multi-year programme to breathe fresh life into buses used on Transport for London work is built on technology from Johnson Matthey (JM).

Emission control systems developed by JM and its partners have been installed in more than 1,000 London buses to enable them to meet stringent emissions targets.

They are installed in the exhaust system as close to the engine as possible, and they clean the gases released to atmosphere.

Testing ensures optimum real-world performance, allowing buses to achieve Euro 6 standards.
