Isle of Man operator Bus Vannin has installed two new vehicle lifts supplied by Midlands-based lifting specialist Totalkare. They are suited to raising lighter commercial vehicles thanks to a capacity of 6,500kg.
Bus Vannin is responsible for maintenance of the island’s growing fleet of emergency vehicles. That is where the lifts will come into their own; the light commercial four-post system as installed has a range of platform lengths extending up to 6m.
With jacking beam/lighting options and the ability to be surface-mounted or recessed, the product provides “an ideal solution to any light commercial lifting requirement,” says Totalkare.
Adds Bus Vannin Engineering Manager Karl Woolford: “We were pleased to hear that Totalkare was introducing its new light commercial four-post lift, which has improved the working environment considerably for our maintenance team.
“We have been using Totalkare’s heavy-duty mobile column lifts to service and maintain our bus fleet for some time, so we knew that the product would be up to the task. The comprehensive aftermarket support is also invaluable on an island. We are extremely happy with the new product and the service.”
