Globally-recognised vehicle access solutions manufacturer Faiveley Vapor Ricon (FVR) reports a marked increase in European exports after a legislation change.
It attributes the growth to its exemplary performance record and the products that it offers.
FVR’s range makes vehicle access and travel easier for drivers, passengers and operators, and it includes a range of lifts, ramps, hoists, winches, seats, restraints and flooring solutions.
“The change to EU legislation at the end of 2017 saw more transport providers, both commercial and community-based, ensure that disabled travellers are more readily catered for,” says FVR Sales Manager Michael Dickinson.
“It’s clear that providers take a more proactive stance towards these newly-developed guidelines and legal requirements, which are revolutionary in terms of access and independence.”
The European Accessibility Act was created to unlock myriad everyday facilities that the disabled could not previously access, including services such as cash machines and, of course, transport.
“Accessing PSVs, trains and taxis for work and pleasure is critical for wheelchair users. The provision of equipment to ease boarding, alighting and safe travel is one that disabled people should expect as a minimum,” he adds.
“Our accessible transport solutions not only help users, but also operators and staff to facilitate safe and secure passage for all.” Easily identifiable credentials are attributed to the FVR range. All bring benefits such as easy installation, lightweight construction, simple operating controls and a number of safety aspects as standard.
Concludes Michael: “Clear, uncompromised access comes by installing our products. That can range from ramps to hoists, and floor restraints for securing wheelchairs and scooters. “Years of expertise mean that we are well-placed to support users with advice, specifications, fitting, ongoing maintenance and service.”
