Lumileds has reiterated advise not to use counterfeit lighting products on vehicles.
It has spearheaded a campaign against fake lighting products for many years, taking steps to allow customers to check authenticity.
For example, imitation Philips headlight bulbs are of inferior quality to the genuine article. They are also illegal to buy, sell or be in possession of.
“Counterfeit products are not just illegal, but they risk the health and safety of motorists, passengers and passers-by,” says Business Development Manager Automotive – UK Richard Armstrong (pictured above).
