Fleet management solution provider MiX Telematics has launched a new app-based tracking service, MyMix Tracking, for vehicles and drivers. It enables 100% visibility of trips and offers opportunities to improve safety and efficiency.
The app is an extension of MyMix, a driver engagement app, and uses mobile phone technology to enable real-time tracking of drivers while recording, measuring and enabling self-correction of driving events such as speeding, harsh braking, harsh acceleration, and mobile phone use.
MiX Telematics says the solution is suited to customers running sub-contractor vehicles, leased vehicles, short-term rentals or grey fleets and is a cost-effective alternative to hard-wired systems.
